News from Canadian Office: The Canadian Immigration Authorities have conducted yet another Express Entry balloting round on 29th April 2020. The previous draw was conducted on 16th April which was specific for Canadian Experience Class Candidates. Now again, the government held a draw specifically for those candidates who got their initial nomination from any of the provinces in Provincial Nominee Program streams.
Details: Express Entry Draw #145 has resulted in 589 invitations being issued to those who already got their initial nomination from any of the provinces in PNP streams! The minimum CRS cut off score was 692. This shows that even in this pandemic situation, Canada continues to strive for its immigration level plans for 2020 - 2022.
The CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) is a score out of 1,200 used in the Express Entry immigration system of Canada.
Many aspirants get confused between the cut off of the federal skilled worker stream which currently varies from 465 to 470 and this score 808. So we would like to clarify all that when a candidate gets nominated from any of the provinces he/she gets an additional 600 points in their CRS score. So for example, if a candidate had 208 CRS in Express Entry and he got a nomination from a province, he will get 600 additional points and will ultimately be selected in the very next round of Express Entry. A valid express entry profile is mandatory to be considered.
