The Province of Ontario is regularly playing a Vital Role in Canada's Provincial Nominee Programs and has already issued more than 1550 invitations in the month of June 2020 only. In 2019, Toronto gained as much population as New York lost.
Ontario held another Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw targeting skilled trades workers in the Express Entry system on June 17.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued 758 invitations to candidates who may be eligible for the Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream. This is the largest number of candidates invited through this stream in a single draw since January 18, 2018.
Invited candidates had work experience as a tradesperson as well as a profile in the Express Entry pool. They also had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score between 400 and 436. Express Entry applicants who receive an invitation to Ontario, they must complete a formal application to OINP and if successful, the candidate will be awarded an additional 600 CRS points to their Express Entry profile. When a candidate gets 600 additional points he/she is likely to receive a guaranteed invitation to apply in the next balloting round. This is Ontario’s second draw of the month. On June 3, Ontario invited Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 358 to apply for a provincial nomination.
On June 18, 2020, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates who may qualify for Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW).
A total of 143 Express Entry candidates were issued Notifications of Interest (NOIs) in the new draw. Candidates were invited if they had comprehensive Ranking System(CRS) scores between 424 and 436, and had the eligibility requirements for Ontario's Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream.
